Isy had more bleeding at 3am today so they did a bronchial angiogram this afternoon. This is a test to examine the condition of the vessels in the bronchial tubes. The doc said there was no active bleeding during the test so it made it very difficult to tell where the bleeder is at. He "packed" one artery with super small beads that are meant to clog up a vessel and is hoping that he got the right one. I appreciate his honesty but this is quite disappointing. Let's hope it's the right one.
She is awake, extubated and on an oxygen mask. She is very, very weak. She knew who we were which was a great relief, especially to Madison. It's been days since we've really gotten to talk to her, and the last time I saw her truly alert was last Thursday in the ER. She was able to mutter a few words like, "Did...you....do... the...apples?" because we had planned to make applesauce last Friday. She seemed to be disappointed when I said no. Hello my Dear???!!!... We've been a little concerned with YOU and NOT apples!! (I'm so sure we would be at home, making applesauce when she is literally fighting a battle for her life here!). She also managed to tell the resp therapist what a good baseball player Quinn is. "He's... really....really...really...really... good." She got a little teary and told us she wants to go home which broke my heart. She also managed a few "praise the Lords" and "thank you Jesus" phrases. That's our Beppe.
